Service Description
The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course is an immersive eight-week program, grounded in evidence-based practices. This transformative training offers practical mindfulness meditation techniques designed to enhance well-being. Originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in the USA, MBSR is backed by over 40 years of research demonstrating its effectiveness for various physical and psychological conditions. MBSR is an intensive 8-week course including over 27 hours of instruction and coaching in mindfulness. We ask that participants make a commitment to daily practice of 20-40mins between sessions. We appreciate that it's often difficult to carve out extra time for something new in lives that are already very busy and crowded. However, the commitment to spend time in between the sessions will mean that you will gain the maximum benefit from the course.
